Before you start: do this while parked. Do not handle your phone while driving.
Step 1: protect the clip
Find the relevant journey and protect or lock the clip before sharing. This prevents loop recording from removing the copy you still need.
Step 2: review the file
Check that the video shows the relevant event and that the date, time and location information are correct. Keep the original file unchanged.
Step 3: use Share
Choose Share or Export in Dashoo, then select your email app. If the file is too large for an attachment, use a trusted file-sharing link and check that the recipient can open it.
What to include in the email
- Date and approximate time
- Location and direction of travel
- A short factual description
- Your contact details, if appropriate
- A note explaining whether the attached file is the original export
