Protect the original journey
As soon as it is safe, protect or lock the relevant journey in Dashoo. Keep the original file and do not rely on a cropped or edited copy as your only version.
Write down the details
Note the date, time, location, direction of travel and a factual description of what you saw. Avoid guessing about a driver’s intention.
Use the correct reporting route
Find the current reporting instructions for the relevant police force or country. Some routes use an online form, while others may request an email or a file-upload link.
Share the footage
Use Dashoo’s share or export action, then attach the video or provide the requested link. The user submits the report themselves. Dashoo does not send a report directly to the police.
Keep your records
Keep the original file, a copy of the message or reference number, and the date you submitted it. Follow any further instructions from the reporting organisation.
See how to send footage by email, return to the full sharing guide, or read the full step-by-step guide to reporting dangerous driving.
Keep evidence ready to share
Dashoo gives you a simple way to record, protect and export a journey.
