Why loop recording is useful
Most journeys are not needed later. Loop recording keeps the latest driving footage available without asking you to delete every ordinary clip by hand.
Protect what matters
If something important happens, use the protect or lock action as soon as it is safe. Protected journeys should not be treated as disposable loop footage.
What loop recording does not do
It does not automatically decide which footage is important. Check that the journey is protected before relying on it, and keep a separate export for anything you may need to share.
