Local recording comes first
Dashoo records footage locally on the phone. Loop recording manages ordinary journeys, while protected journeys are kept for review or export.
What cloud backup is for
Where available on the Pro plan, cloud backup can provide another copy of selected footage if the phone is lost or damaged. Check the current plan and privacy policy for retention and data details.
What cloud backup does not mean
It does not mean every drive is automatically uploaded, and it does not replace protecting or reviewing the journey. Do not assume that an unprotected clip will be available later.
Questions to ask before using it
- Which clips are uploaded?
- How long are cloud copies retained?
- Which account is linked to the footage?
- How will you delete a copy you no longer need?
