Data Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your Dashoo account and all associated personal data. This page explains what data we hold, what gets deleted, and how to make a request.
Option 1: Delete In-App (Instant)
Open Settings
In the Dashoo app, tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to Account
Scroll down to the App & Account section and tap Delete Account.
Confirm Deletion
Read the confirmation and tap Delete. Your account and cloud data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Option 2: Request by Email
If you no longer have access to the app or your account, email us with your deletion request. We will process it within 30 days as required by GDPR/UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

Include: The email address associated with your Dashoo account
What Gets Deleted
- Account data: Email address, name, auth provider, user ID - deleted immediately upon confirmation
- Subscription records: Removed from our systems within 30 days (note: Apple/Google retain their own purchase records separately)
- Cloud-synced recordings (Pro users): Permanently deleted from AWS S3 within 30 days
- Crash reports and analytics: Anonymised data may be retained for up to 12 months but cannot be linked back to you after account deletion
What Is Not Affected
- Local recordings: Videos stored on your device are not affected by account deletion. Delete them manually through your device's photo/file manager.
- Store purchase history: Apple and Google maintain their own records of transactions. Contact them directly to manage these.
- Active subscription: Cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings before or after requesting account deletion to avoid future charges.
Your Rights
In addition to deletion, you may also request:
- Data access: A copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Data correction: Correction of inaccurate personal data
- Data portability: Your data in a machine-readable format (EU/UK users)
Email privacy@dashoo.app for any of these requests. We respond within 30 days.
Supervisory Authorities
If you believe your data rights have not been upheld, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority:
